- PHP is a free scripting language and interpreter used in
web programming, which is used primarily on Linux Web servers.
It is an alternative to Microsoft's ASP and the script
is also embedded into a web page, along with the HTML to deliver dynamic content.
PHP pages ends in a suffix like .php, .php3 or .phtml
- It originally derived from Personal Home Page Tools, but
now stands for PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor.
