you are in    Home    PROGRAMMING  VISUAL BASIC (VB)   VB was created by Microsoft and is a programming language used to develop stand-alone applications.  The "Visual" part of the name refers to the method used to create applications and the "Basic" part of the name refers to the BASIC programming language, on which VB is based.  BASIC stands for : "Beginners All-Purpose Symbolic Instruction Code".  On the other hand, VBA stands for Visual Basic for Applications and is a scripting language, often used to program in Microsoft Access.
